We are excited to share the news about a transformative project in Pale, Bosnia & Herzegovina! The district heating system is getting a much-needed modernisation, making it cleaner, greener, and more efficient. The estimated value of the project is 10 million €. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲: ↪ 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁: A new 10 MW biomass boiler plant will be constructed, increasing the operational efficiency and reducing CO2 emissions. ↪ 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻: The existing heating network will be reconstructed with new heating substations, reducing heat losses and connecting current and more new buildings. ↪ 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆: New software will optimize energy production and delivery, ensuring reliable and affordable heating. ↪ 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 & 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀: A dedicated seasonal biomass storage with completely independent wood chips production which will ensure secure supply and save costs. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘄𝗶𝗻-𝘄𝗶𝗻: ✔ 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹: Cleaner air and a smaller carbon footprint for Pale. ✔ 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰: Job creation, lower heating bills, and a boost to the local economy. ✔ 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹: Improved quality of life for residents with reliable and affordable heating. This is just the first phase of a bigger vision – Phase 2 will tackle even more network extension and connect even more consumers.
