III. Enabling just transition

The International Labour Organization (ILO) defines just transition as a process “towards an environmentally sustainable economy”, which “needs to be well managed and contribute to the goals of decent work for all, social inclusion and the eradication of poverty. Due to Plus Minus’ employee references and knowledge related to work in the area of energy and environment (dealing with various stakeholder groups), we are able to provide consulting services which ensure that benefits of a transition process are shared widely and do support and ensure livelihoods and economic benefit (for example in coal regions and municipalities) to those who stand to lose in such a process. This includes the analysis and evaluation of social considerations, risk identification, mitigation actions and identification and engagement of affected stakeholders.
